Colin joined Baldwins in 1987.  He has wide experience in law and the commercial exploitation of intellectual property rights.  Between 1970 and 1977, Colin practised in London with a leading firm of solicitors, and later in Bangkok with a multi-national US law firm.

Colin was formerly corporate counsel to Mitsubishi Motors NZ Limited, and took an active role in the Corporate Lawyers section of the Wellington District Law Society.

He has had a long involvement with the Licensing Executives Society, (LES) with regular contributions at regional and international conferences. He is a past President of the Licensing Executives Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Additionally, Colin attends the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA) meetings in Europe, and is a member of the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriete Industrielle (AIPPI).
