Kate is a registered patent attorney and barrister and solicitor. Kate specialises in intellectual property litigation and advises on trade marks, passing off, Fair Trading Act, border protection, domain name, patent, design and copyright disputes. Kate also provides advice on the commercial aspects of intellectual property.
Kate frequently represents clients before the Commissioner at hearings held in the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand and in the High Court. She has been involved in cases in both the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
